Topic #2 – Facing Challenges

Haulin Assets has had its fair share of challenges over the last two years. We are currently facing another one. I talk about some of the lessons I learned from a book I really like called “The Top 10 Distinctions Between Millionaires and the Middle Class” by Keith Cameron Smith and how they help me get through some of the challenges I face as a business owner.

One of the biggest takeaways I’ve taken is how to think of short-term vs. long-term goals. To be successful, you need to be able to think about where you want to be in 5, 10, and 20 years from now and create plans on how to get there. Many people choose to go back to being an employee driver after becoming an owner-operator because of the challenges that come from it. There’s nothing wrong with it at all, if that’s what you want. But, if you’re like me and you want more, learning how to persevere through challenging times becomes even more important.
